Check out the trailer for upcoming Brit-crime movie The Rise And Fall Of A White Collar Hooligan, a movie that isn’t a slavish retread of cockney gangster cliches. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still plenty of rucks, East End swearing and footie talk, it’s just that the movie doesn’t feel like a posh boy director is slumming it and throwing up a load of unrealistic diamond heist caper nonsense on the screen. It’s a film about how real organised crime works, in this case major credit card fraud on a grand scale. At the level their playing at, mistakes result in harsh beatings and cheating your boss will see you face down in a canal with a bullet in the back of your head.
