Happy New Year! Can you believe it, we’re actually living in 2013?! It’s the sort of date you can image a futuristic film from the 1980s being set in, full of flying cars, mutant offspring and teleportation pods. Who knows, by this time next year, you could be reading this newsletter from a chip embedded in your skull as your cyborg makes you some breakfast with it’s lasers, just before you head off to help fight the alien invasion! It’s….possible.

Berberian Sound Studio – Earlier this week we saw the release of the must-see film, Berberian Sound Studio. Staring Toby Jones in the central role, BSS tells the intense tale of a British actor who finds himself working on a fictional Italian exploitation movie, in the same vein as Don’t Torture A Duckling, Cannibal Holocaust, Four Flies On Grey Velvet and Zombie Flesh Eaters. What unfolds is pure torment for the character and pure paradise for us! A fantastic movie that needs to be seen by all self-confessed cult film nuts. Get it now!

A gripping, fresh and disturbing new body horror film, American Mary, directed by two sisters adored in cult film circles is teaming with new ideas and grisly story.
