So, my advice is this: find a reviewer, a fellow forum member, a friend, whose tastes and epectations meet your requuirements, and then trust their judgment. That's what I do. There's been BDs I might have avoided and then someone like Reaper will come along and say it looks great. And, you know what? They're always right and I'm glad that I did buy the BD instead of avoiding it.

Your thoughts and opinions are respected more than you think, mate.

Default Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966)

The first Dracula sequel (to feature the Count anyway). A worthy follow-up? Discuss...

Correction: The movie was made in 1966, not 1965.

For a long time this was easily my favourite Hammer Dracula film.

It should be noted that this was easily available but the original Dracula was nowhere in sight on vhs.

As soon as i watched Dracula via Warners Terrorvision collection that became my favourite.

Now twenty years later Dracula is still my favourite but closely, very closely, followed by Taste The Blood of Dracula. Both are in my top ten horrors of all time. The uncut Taste the Blood of Dracula if i'm not mistaken was unavailable here until its dvd release.

Whilst i still love Dracula Prince of Darkness it alternates with the others in the series for third place.

I'd say this is my third favourite too, behind Scars of Dracula and Dracula, but as I've said elsewhere, I love all the Hammer Dracula films. This one does look pretty damn good on Blu Ray too

I'm pretty sure i'll be re-visiting all the Dracula films during the month of the witches.

It filled me with horror recently when i watched Vampirella for the first time in around 15 years. They completely nicked Dracula's death scene from Scars using Daltrey instead.

I'm sure Metallica must have noticed this debacle when they wrote The Thing That Should Not Be.

Would that be next month, forgive my ignorance?
