I've got the BMG DVD release running at 137 mins (Is this actually the right RT?). It's called the Full Uncut Version and has a blue cover with green lettering. I've had it for quite a long time so i'm sure theres been better versions released since. What would you guys say is the definitive version because I wouldn't mind upgrading if theres a better one.

Im happy enough with the Arrow release plus there's good extras including a 75 min documentary, plus Zavvi had it for 6 quid last time I was in.
Terrible artwork though.

I think the running time for the BMG DVD is 139m. This is the definitive version for me. I think somebody here mentioned a 156m version but I have never seen it. Sounds a bit lengthy.

I'd like to see the Argento 119m cut as well as it sounds interesting.

I had it on vhs ages ago and although more gory, its not as good as George R's version.

Its strangely missing the zombie head, helicopter scene.

Yeah that's very odd that the Argento version should be missing that shot. I think it may have been because he thought the effects looked a bit dodgy. I know I have heard some people say that the scene looks rather silly. Oh well I liked it myself. It all adds to the fun.

How many versions of the remake are there.?

I saw it on dvd and bought it on umd but the opening scene with the girl seems different to the dvd I saw.

I've got the Directors Cut of the remake with the sunset/ silhouette cover. I've seen a couple of other covers but as far as I know theres just the Directors cut and the theatrical cut. Maybe the opening scene is deifferent in the directors cut? I'm not sure, I never got round to seeing it in the cinema so this is the only version I've ever seen of it.

The opening scene were the little girl attacked or killed her father at the start was missing.
Im sure it was in the dvd I saw , but it was a pirate dvd ages ago, so I cant fully remember the scene. But I think the girl zombie killed her Da. I could be wrong.
It just shows the woman leave the house and get in the car on the umd. (I think,- its been a while from i've watched it)

Yeah it is missing the Chopper decapitation.Maybe it was too false looking for the Italians, who as we know are the maestros of gore.....

It is fake looking.
The zombie's head looks to long. A bit like the creature in 'Carry on Screaming'.
