The idea is better than the execution due to the zombie's flat head.

I regret not getting autographs from the main cast of Dawn of the Dead (1978) when they appeared at a Memorabilia show at the NEC a few years ago. But on the other hand I didn't have the 4-disc R1 boxset of the film I have now.

I personally find DAWN totally overrated. Decent, though.

DAY OF THE DEAD is Romero's finest zombie film, IMHO.

Zombie Flesh Eaters takes the crown for best zombie movie next to Romeros Day of the Dead. I like Dawn but i think it is waaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated.

I much preferred the theatrical version of Dawn to the longer workprint.

Personally i think both versions gon on too long. The Argento version is better, it runs at a faster pace and has a better score. Although it strangley removes the helicopter zombie decapitation.

I prefer the 139m version because it is longer although the absence of Goblin score in several scenes is disappointing.

Love these, especially Dawn... but I am probably the only person in the whole World who rates The Zombie Dead/Burial Ground/Nights of Terror as being the best zombie film. It's absolutely insane and OTT. Very creepy and great gore.

I enjoyed Burial Ground too and the Vipco DVD is an excellent (& uncut) print by their standards. I used to have the old Apex video which was cut so heavily that there wasn't much evidence of any zombies in it.

I just love Dawn of the Dead - it has everything - humour, scares, pathos, action and a real sense of epic scale. When I has choosing the colours of the Cult Labs logo I was like "let's make it look like the department store in DotD" which is, I admit, weird...

The tighter cuts are good but I love it so much I'm happy to watch the longest possible version. Not keen on the remake though unlike the Night remake which I really enjoyed.
