What do people think of the new Halloween II from it's trailer? Personally I think this will be better than Rob Zombie's first Halloween movie. There will be none of the backstory which took up one half of the first movie. The title was changed from "H2" to "Halloween: Death Walks The Streets", then to just "Halloween II".

It would be nice if Universal (who own the rights to Halloween II and Halloween III: Season of the Witch) brought out a much better DVD of the original Halloween II later this year. Like with Rob Zombie's first Halloween movie the sequel is being released in the US in August. I'm assuming we will get the sequel in October again (like with the first one, which was released in UK cinemas in October 2007).

Yes I always thought this, but re-watching H4 again, and probably not paying attention,Michael steals this mask from the shop while Rachel and Jamie are buying a Halloween costume. How a heavily bandaged man can walk into a shop is another matter,Also what might have been a new twist for the film is that there is a Tor Johnson mask on the shelve behind a shot of Jamie loking at costumes, imagine Myers stomping around Haddonfield slicing and dicing in a Tor mask (also seen in Dead Kids). So Michaels new mask is crap because its a cheap one just hanging off the rack,it kind of makes sense, its not as though he can phone Don Post up at say hey send me those Shatner masks or ill slaughter your family.

The William Shatner mask before, and after, with the eye holes enlarged, eyebrows changed and painted white

Default h4 mask

This also explains the scene where Loomis and the Police are surround by several Michaels but which turn out to be a students prank, again how they knew which masks to buy, perhaps its all part of Haddonfield lore to the locals.

The first page from the original 1982 typewritten manuscript for Halloween 3, by Dennis Etichon, complete with handwritten notes and changes

John Carpenter on FB:

"So you say you want a Revolution?
You want to shake things up and bring back Halloween and make it rock again?

Well so do I.

So here’s the announcement you’ve all been waiting for:

David Gordon Green and Danny McBride are joining the project to complete the creative team. David and Danny will write the script together and David will direct. I will continue in my executive producer role to consult and offer my advice and feedback as needed.

David and Danny both came to my office recently with Jason Blum and shared their vision for the new movie and…WOW. They get it. I think you’re gonna dig it. They blew me away.

I might even do the music. Maybe. It could be kind of cool.

And you’ll get to see it in theaters on October 19th, 2018."

Why won't he direct it?
