I'm the same. If it wasn't for my Love Film subscription, I wouldn't have seen any horror films from 2012, bar Chained. My classic horror viewings far out-weigh my modern (although this is also mainly because overall, I generally prefer pre-90s horror to post 90s).

I go by IMDb for my release dates, so Cabin wouldn't qualify, for me. Plus, I thought it was distinctly average. It baffles me why so many people seem to like it.

It could be a 2012 DVD release, as the film is from 2011.

I don't understand either, I didn't care for it until the creatures were all released, then it kind of became a fun, wild action flick. When that died down, I lost interest again. It was weird because the friends I saw it with all seemed to love it.

Usually they say packaging and design 2012, then give a second date for the actual film.

Post amended.

I'm currently doing some grabs for The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave which i watched again last night.

Thats 1971 - Much more my era.

I would have taken part in this but I am not much of a list person. I am curious to see how Videodrome does though.

They aren't showing up for me either - Basket Case, Creepshow 2, Fright Night, Amityville II: The Possession, The Funhouse, Humanoids from the Deep, Dead & Buried, Killer Klowns from Outer Space are gone.

Try to upload the respective pic directly as an attachment, and include it in the post - this should work.

Greetings!

Ha- I like some stuff from all decades, but admittedly I would struggle to create a decent sized list outside of the 70's & 80's.

Countdown is half over!

Anybody want to take a stab at predicting the top 5? Off the top of your head, no cheating!

It's hard to say... it's been an interesting an eclectic list so far, which reflects the very unique lists submitted. Given a wider scope, I'd say the usual suspects (ANOES, The Thing etc.) would make up the top rankings, but all the lists have their own unique twist, and it's clear that we all seem to love '80s horror, and for different reasons.

From memory, I've seen Opera on a few lists, and placed quite highly too, so wouldn't be surprised to it ranked fairly highly in the Top 100.
