Wow, Optimum snuck this one out, didn't even know they were releasing it. I think this is one of the best slasher films - it replaces corny jokes with genuine scares and has some good characterisation and mystery. My review of the BU disc of The Prowler.

the prowler is one of my fav 80s slashers.i have the blue underground disc.bout time this excellent film got a uk release.

No. I saw it (as Rosemary's Killer) on the cinema back in the mid-80's. It was quite heavily cut and doubled with Going Steady of all things.

It was still a good film though the BBFC cuts were painfully obvious. Especially during the shower murder. Unusually the final head-shot was left intact.

I love this movie so much I had to pick up the Optimum dvd also.I actually prefer the Optimum cover art over the Blue Underground.Not much in extras but its great to own another copy of the movie.Is the dvd completely uncut? thanks sean |
