The Omen....so pissed off with this. Basically same script with a laptop and mobile phone thrown in there to make it modern. The kid was just too evil(the originals kid was just a kid that didn't know what was going on, because he was A KID) this little shit was trying to burn a hole in peoples head with his devil eyes. Grrrrr

Wicker Man....Horrible movie. 'Step away from the bicycle' An absolute insult to the classic.

Friday the 13th....An MTV style slasher with a bloke in a hockey mask killing them.On paper it probably looked like they had all the typical F13 elements in there(T&A, stupid teens, constructive deaths) but it just didn't work at all. This is the most annoyed I've ever been in the cinema EVER.

Halloween....Gutted by this as I loved Zombies previous 2. Not scary at all, unless you are afraid of sudden loud music. The white trash Myers was the downfall of this movie. Took all the mystery out of MM's character.

I think all the obvious remakes were rubbish - except Dawn Of The Dead and The Hills Have Eyes, which weren't too bad.

As mentioned, Exorcist: The Beginning was also embarrassing.

ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE - Beautiful people and well shot vista's cannot compensate for a mindnumbingly tedious plot that reveals it's twist by accident within the first five minutes, a truly awful film.

PROM NIGHT (Remake) - the dumbing down of horror continues with this bloodless, MTV style teen 'slasher' that fails to muster up any tension. Awful.

BLACK CHRISTMAS (Remake) - Fox take on Bob Clarke's 1974 xmas slasher opus with unbelievable amaturism. The cast are ok but the dialog is awful. bad bad bad!!!!!!!!!!!

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSASCR: THE BEGINING - one question. WHY? CRAPtacular. a waste of money.

QUARANTINE - why did america remake [rec], why? they filmed it shot for shot and just changed the language from spanish to english, they could have saved money by dubbing [rec].

I avoided Quarantine altogether. Love REC though.

So it's practically shot-for-shot the same? Wow - how pointless.

yeah, Gus van Sant did the same thing in '98 with his remake of Psycho, utterly pointless.
