I'm sure they can get the message across as to the severity of the attack without having to prolong the ordeal onscreen. |

I rate both, Rob Zombie's take on "Halloween" and his "Halloween II", quite highly as two of the more interesting recent horrors. |

I would sooner have seen something new & original, rather than something that simply didn't need recycling.

There's been lots and lots of new, original genre movies released over the last 10 years to chosse from when not in the mood for remakes- unfortunately not all of them received the same broad coverage and recognition that some of the updates got due to the immediate fan-echo- good and bad- regarding the latest "redux". Yet, even fans of original horror- foreign language, independent and even mainstream Hollywood- are nowadays far better catered for than during the 90's- though sometimes the heated remake debates make it easy to overlook that. |

Melon Farmers reports that the MPAA are demanding over a hundred cuts from the film for the R rating. Anyone still think the film might just scrape through with a 15 here?

I can't see the BBFC being among them. |

That's quite hefty even by MPAA standards. I never thought this would get a 15 due to the very nature of the subject matter. Be interesting to see what the BBFC make of it though.

My guess is that the BBFC will pass the unrated version without cuts.
