Ridiculously violent in places in that safe Hollywood way. So whilst 'morally' it's a vacuum ... it is also rather super. Lee Jr boots his way through scuzz of various grades ... with ease. Powers Boothe provides able support. SBU.

I love Rapid Fire. Brandon was a big fan of Hong Kong movies and Jackie Chan, and there are numerous references to other films throughout, including the title sequence (Battle Creek Brawl) and the scene with him on the motorcyle crashing a bad guy through all the glass (Police Story). I’m really surprised this one hasn’t been released on blu-ray yet, especialluly with it being the 25th anniversary of his death.

The Last Stand 2013

Arnie plays a sherriff in a small town with a escaped criminal on his way back to Mexico with a small band of deputy's help. This was a enjoyable movie plenty comedy and action with loads of shooting and blood splatter. Alao watched recently the Robocop movies.

Mercenary: Absolution (2015)

Steven Seagal action thriller which has the far lither Byron Mann handle a lot of the martial arts, although Seagal does his (frantically edited) share. Extremely violent, fast paced fun. Vinnie Jones is the villain, Keoni Waxman directs.

I liked it.

Demolition High and Demolition University

Corey Haim goes all Die Hard as a wisecracking high schooler and later universityer in a couple of cheap and cheerful shoot 'em ups with plenty of shit blowing up as bad guys hold a school and in the second film a water plant up for the usual dull reasons.

The first film is the better of the two with the second more of a remake with added shots of ample bosoms at the beginning in a fantastic moment of gratuitous wankability.

In fact both films are pure trash in a very likeable way and not dissimilar to a puppy humping your leg, you know it is wrong but you feel for the little fella and let him do it anyway.

Pound of Flesh (2015)

In China to donate his kidney to his dying niece, Van Damme, a former black-ops agent, awakes the day before the operation to find he is the latest victim of organ theft. Stitched up, JCVD descends from his posh hotel in search of his stolen kidney and carves a blood-soaked path through the darkest corners of the city brothels, fight clubs, back-alley black markets, and elite billionaire estates. The clock is ticking for his niece and with each step he loses blood.

Decent kick ass actioner with a plot less ludicrous than it sounds. No okay, i'm clearly lying there, it's completely ludicrous but a hell of a lot of fun. If the idea of JCVD doing the splits getting dragged along by a car - one foot through the drivers window, the other on the ground - fills you with joy then Pound of Flesh is for you.

I thought it was great.

I have to ask ... how did he look? He seemed a bit grey around the gills in Kill 'Em All. Ahem.
