Glad I've not got that problem D. You MUST be a smooth talker....  So,Almar,it's like night and day then? I take it the bigger screen,the better obviously?

Not night and day and it depends on the source material but can look a lot more vivid and detailed and the uncompressed sound mixes can be brilliant. For instance Black Rain on DVD was pretty bleary but much better than DVD - on Blu-ray it's like a new period film about the 80s.

Well we should start a Blu-ray thread to continue this but I think it's worth buying from the likes of John Lewis - they do a free 5 year guarantee and you can have a good browse - I'm blown away by my Sony but even more startling was the new Samsung LED - as was the price!
