The only real difference between the two is the Grindhouse edition is more colourful. Also the AWE edition (along with the EC and Vipco discs) is missing a brief, unimportant, 3 second shot of the hotel sign right at the very start.

Both versions could be improved upon.

Ah good good. I own the grindhouse release. Its much cheaper then the AWE and has more extras. Plus its meant to be a remastered print but not sure how true that is. Plus it contains the color opening sequence which is cool.

Hmmm...you have intrigued me...wouldn't mind checking out the Grindhouse one now. I think the AWE looks so amazing because I went from fourth gen VHS dupe to ex-rental Vampix Beta to DVD-r (that was very data reduced) to Vipco Screamtime to AWE!

That cropped Vipco screamtime edition is horrible

Their W/S is better.

There appears to be a Grindhouse Beyond for sale on Amazon Marketplace from someone calling themselves "Reaper72"...I wonder if they are a reliable seller?

Excellent artwork from Rick again.
The bleeding eyes in CITY is one of the most striking images associated with the film.

Grindhouse disc (so far) of The Beyond is the best to date imo.
