I fired another email to the BBFC to thank them for their decision.

This is REALLY fantastic news. I've just spent the weekend reading the entire 96 page thread. Once I finish it, I'm warming up to email them and I'm greeted by this. Great stuff. Good on everyone that Emailed. Its great the BBFC acted rationally and treated our thoughts with respect. I will absolutely buy the Blu ray now.

I just thought of something, do they cut Bullfights out of films? If they don't that could be good enough ground to write to them again. |

Well I think an argument will be needed for Deep Red but let's see what the BBFC say first.

Do you have a rough idea of when it'll be submitted, Almar?

Not at the moment - not sure if materials have arrived yet.

Those are great news. Now we only have to wait for a release of zombie flesh eaters uncut in the uk. |

But as I said in the other thread, would it not be possible to pixellate - or otherwise obscure - the offending shot, without having to cut it? You could make a note of the reasons for this alteration at the start of the film or somewhere in the supplemental materials. It still amounts to the same thing (ie. censorship), but cutting the shot altogether renders the scene meaningless ("Why did that bloke slap the little girl?"). Just a thought. |

Good news - ZOMBIE FLESH-EATERS has been available uncut in the UK for quite some time now! Unless you mean an uncut Blu-ray version of the film? Man, I'd be first in the queue for that little beauty, let me tell you!!...
