I just saw the VIDEO NASTIES doc, and now I REALLY want to see this film. I've pre-ordered the DVD, but I'd like to make a small plea to get this one on BD as well.

Am I not right in thinking that this should be easier than most since the director has the original negative (I think)?

Having the negative is certainly a start but it' major money converting that into a BD release and each Blu-ray is still a big gamble and Island would be just that.

Dont Sony get a fee as well from every BluRay release . ?

I agree, IOD has the potential to be a great release on DVD for us fans as well as the company releasing it but it would be far to big a financial gamble to release on BluRay.

I would love the chance to enjoy this sleaze on Blu Ray, easily one of my favourite exploitation movies. But would settle for a DVD release. Still surprised the BBFC let this one through, not that it's shocking, but that it is still one of the most scorned releases on the dpp list. To get this in the UK, fully uncut is a landmark when we still suffer from cut versions of other dpp films.

Fingers most definitely crossed for hi def though! Future proof this masterpiece...

I have to say that I'm not that bothered about cover art it general - but if that makes the cover it would be the best cover art I've seen from an Arrow release. It is wonderful.

Play, I think they are talking about the art with the bird nailing the guy to the island! I'd be surprised if this was the one on the cover art ... a bit extreme.

Tis nice tho
