My 1st sighting of the film was in Global Video, it was for rent for a night in 2002, the VIPCO version it was, and the cover art just blew me away. At the time I hadn't heard of this film and just had to have it.

So I ordered it from WH Smiths in which when it finally came I sat and watched this gory class film. I have only just got rid of it today and rebought the ARROW version

Saw most of this on the Horror channel a few weeks back. Did'nt get to see it all though unfortunately. The wife is horendously phobic about zombies so I have to do the respectful thing and switch over if she's nearby (honestly it makes me feel like I'm watching a porno some times). Its a Fulci fans worst nightmare. lol

Hopefully I'll get my copy delivered soon (cheers skankenstoned), lets hope its sepia

I discovered the movie through my brother who gave it to me when I was 13 years old. Ah, good old days! I remember how proud we all were to have it on DVD in an acceptable quality. Nowadays, you all would describe that version as rubbish, but we were proud to have it. And I still remember very well how fascinated I was after the first sight. My whole viewing experience changed and I got more and more fascinated by the Italian movies which were directed at this time. The Beyond is still my one of my all-time-favourite movies and I'm really eager to experience it on BluRay for the first time.

I had seen ZFE as a kid (Just before it was banned) and always remembered it.
So when I went to buy the DVD in around 2000, I also came across ("Lucio Fulci's best film! - Starlog") The Beyond.
I also picked up ZFE 2 - which I bought back the next day - my cheese tolerance was low then.

I got a loan of it (the old Anchor Bay version) from a good friend who said it was a good way of getting into Fulci. He also loaned The House by The Cemetery which I didn't care for all that much.

But I liked The Beyond. The acting is decent, the gore is lovely and gooey and the ending is a smasher.

Can't wait to afford the money to buy this.
