Thank you Mr_0rang3 for his "Fast Forward" fix! Works perfectly.

Shouldn't have to do that though!

Again, thanks - now, Demons 2...

I'm glad I have a PS3!!! I watched Demons 1&2 back-to-back tonight without a hiccup. This is the sort of thing that puts me off spending even £50 on a multiregion Toshiba BDX1200, I'm worried I'll end up buying a load of Criterion BDs only to find they won't work. Saying that, roll on payday I'm gonna go for it anyway

My Toshiba BDX1200 has had no worries with the Criterion BDs I have. It also played the Demons disks without a hitch.

It's also a surprisingly musical CD player, which cannot be said for my Samsung BD deck!

And don´t forget it´s Demons that you tried to play.

Maybe some little bastard was stuck inside your player making their doings...

Haha, I'd stick an umbrella through its head if I were you!

Panicked a little when I saw this thread. Just tried out my Steelbook discs in my Sony S350, and they play fine.

Good to know that the discs seems to work fine in most players out there

Was a bit worried that it could have been something wrong with the mastering of the discs.

My steelbook haven´t shipped yet, so I probably won´t have it tomorrow...

The counter continues ticking a good 10-15 seconds before the picture jumps-cuts and continues playing. So you basically lose 15 seconds of the movie. Ironically, it looks like a badly placed censorship cut (I know it isn't, but it gives you an idea of the problem).
I've tried the disc several times now and it always freezes for 10-15 secs in the same spot. Just to reiterate ; you lose 10-15 seconds of the movie, it isn't just a long pause.

I have a high-end Sony player, so the earlier "cheap player's are the problem" looks irrelevant now. My steelbook is (sadly) going back to Amazon on Tuesday, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had a problem with the steelbook release?
Nope. No problems here with my Sony player.

Sh*t. I might just have a rogue disc then. I'll check back here and see if anyone else has a problem, before deciding on a steelbook replacement or to go for the separate releases.
