There's a cracking review up at Blu-ray.com.

Quote:
The new restoration of Lucio Fulci's legendary film is easily the best presentation of a classic European horror film that I have seen on Blu-ray to date.

All in all, excluding some extremely minor inherited limitations, such as those observed during the underwater sequence, this is clearly the most satisfying presentation of Zombie Flesh Eaters accomplished to date.
Kudos to Arrow, they've really pulled it out of the bag. From the very beginning it's seemed like they've wanted this release to be the definitive version, and it would appear they've succeeded. I hope we see more of their bigger licenses restored in the lengths they've gone to here.

Can. Not. Wait.

I am so looking forward to this and these reviews really are promising a great release.

Incidentally has anyone ordered a new release from Arrow directly before? Did it arrive much earlier than the release date?

They've just posted a picture of the steelbooks on their facebook, so I imagine anyone who has ordered it via Arrow can expect it in the next few days.

Gonna be great to see this masterpiece, without any annoying noice, DNR, EE or other crap destroying the experience. I hope Arrow will continue to make their own transfers of these italian classics

The colors alone kicks the BU disc on the nuts

A lot of people could say that with certain previous Arrow releases (Tenebrae, The Beyond) that Arrow really screwed the pooch.

Looks like we can say they have this time but in a very positive way!

I can imagine this person will buy the new Arrow Blu release but be very quiet about it.

Hi everyone,

We've just recieved some news from Arrow about this upcoming release of this...

"We have heard back from the factory packing the Blu-rays and sadly the standard edition of ZFE will not contain the poster as it would not fit inside the case, it was too much content to go under the lugs and they could not pack it in due to their tolerances. We were unable to force them to do it anyway.

The SteelBook, DVD and LE Slipbox will all contain the poster in the first pressing (future pressings will not have the poster)."
