I noticed a few black lines running through some the scenes, that I don't remember been present on the ABUS disc.

Al Cliver saved the film for me!

I'm gonna have to give it another spin one of these days just for Mimsy Farmer, I've really come to like her after Four Flies and especially The Perfume of the Lady in Black.

All versions of this seem to cut away very abruptly from the 'discovery of the bodies' scene just before the decomposing corpse is fully shown.

Is the 'Shameless' DVD the same?
I gather all prints are like this?

Certainly the corpse is never seen like it is in the still on the back of the 'Shameless' DVD cover in any version I have seen, all supposedly uncut.

In an interview David Warbeck said Mimsy was an old bitch.

I noticed this too, there are also extra seconds in the trailer re. this scene. Cool film though, I enjoyed it.

I thought it was very average.
Not the typical Fulci gore fest

If Both The Black Cat and Ratman were passed by the BBFC for a 15 Rating, then why haven't both of the dvds got a 15 certificate raised to 18 due to extras on the dvd?

The discs are 18-rated due to the inclusion of the 18-rated trailers (ie New York Ripper etc).

I thought it was ok. Plodded along nicely.
Warbeck got his arse kicked by that dang cat!

Still, he survived to tell the tail! 'Boom Boom!'
