Death Walks at Midnight

A Great Example of the Italian Giallo horror genre that flourished in sleazier European cinemas during the late 60s/early 70s. A fashion model is drugged as part of a publicity stunt and while tripping out witnesses a nasty murder involving a masked man with a spiked glove. When her story is published she finds that the evil fiend is now stalking her and taking out her friends.

Typically stylish but nonsensical in the extreme. By the time we find out who the killer is our minds are reeling from the violent and illogical plot turns but then this is part of the of the charm of the Giallo genre.

Cool 70s threads, groovy lounge score, Happening night club scenes, wobbly dubbing and far out trippy camera work... this is a must for fans of high camp and off the wall horror movies.

She Killed In Ecstasy

A Jess Franco movie starring Soledad Miranda, of Vampiros Lesbos fame, a stunning exploitation queen who died tragically young.

A beautiful woman lives with her lover, a scientist who researches embryos in his lab. When the medical council rejects his work, he slashes his wrists. The woman seeks out the four people that she sees as responsible for the suicide in order to slay them.

As with all Franco movies of the period, this is cheap, trashy fun, with a wild zoom shots, a funky lounge score and acres of nudity. For Franco-philes this is peak period stuff but for others? Well, they might just sit there scratching their heads. Plot, acting and quality editing are not Franco's strong suits but for prime time 70s Eurotrash fun this is hard to beat.
