A Study in Scarlet was a great start, threw me off guard a bit Act 2 when it was suddenly 10 years ago in the Utah Salt Plains but it got it's mojo back pretty quickly after that! I'm now midway through Sign of Four and I'm enjoying this one a great deal more. No spoilers, I don't know how this one ends

I have a beautiful leatherbound volume from Barnes and Noble of the Sherlock Holmes stories. I'm nowhere near finishing it but they are fantastically well written and have aged very very well. I really liked a Study in Scarlett and thought the whole Utah bit gave it a bit more of an epic feel.

Well seemingly by the end of this year george rr martin is releasing book six. Probably won't happen​ but one can hope.

Same with Clive Barker and the Scarlet Gospels, I waited nearly 10 years for him to finish it, and then it was a bit of a let down!

to me it felt like "fan fiction" it really didn't feel like he wrote it
