Just finished EMPIRE OF THE SUN. Bastard book made me cry, which is no bad thing in itself, but I was on the bus going to work. I can't put into words how much I enjoyed this book and the emotions it invoked in me.

Just reading Dennis Wheatley's THE RAPE OF VENICE. Adventure on the high seas and satan worshippers, what more can you ask for?

Reading "Batman: Contagion" and it's looking good. MEANWHILE... over in the "throneroom" magazine rack is this month's issue of "Dark Side" with an article on the BBC2 horror double bills from the mid '70s onwards.

Wes, keirarts and Rondadoronron like this.

It looks cool but isn't it a little pricey at £7?

It's £5.99 at Hemlock Books

I don't buy too many genre mags these days, but the ones I do buy are of similar price and I feel well worth it ( Cinema Retro, Little Shoppe Of Horrors for example ). Both are very text heavy and beautifully illustrated ( LSOH is like reading a book! )

Although WBD isn't quite up to the level of the above, it's pretty damn close and I do think it's worth the dough.

Thanks, that's much more reasonable but I will still have to wait a few months until other Magazine commitments run their course before "The Boss" will agree to extras!
