Despite Mick Garris saying it wasn’t ever going to get a Blu Ray release, this is coming out on the 24th September, no idea who from or what region at the minute, which is why I’m posting it here, but seeing as the two FB pages that shared it are both based in the US, I’m guessing it’ll be a US release

I've never seen The Stand.

I've owned it for about three years.

Is it really good?

Yeah, I like it, it’s fairly faithful to the novel and because it’s split into 4 90 minute episodes, it doesn’t drag

Well worth the perseverance despite the running time!

Although I used to own it on Betamax, sorry DVD,I don't think I've watched it since the days of this......

Remember the big double case?

Is It a good read?

I'm pretty sure i don't have it. I certainly haven't read it. I saw a new paperback in Sainsbury's yesterday. It was the size of a brick.

Having bought and enjoyed other classic novels by King in the last 18 months - Pet Sematary and The Shining - i wondered if It was up there with them.

I just can't be bothered to go searching through by book cupboard of death which is crammed full of King hardbacks and the cover to this new one grabs me. Plus at £3.99 i'm hardly going wrong.

Definitely worth a read, despite its length I’ve read it three times now

I've decided. I need to go into the cupboard of death and take pics of what's actually inside it to prevent me double dipping on books.

Just saw a review of The Stand on Blu-ray, 1 disc for 6hrs of content!! Looks ok but not a huge leap from the DVDs. It was filmed on 16mm apparently.

Think I’ll wait for the price to drop below £20 on WOW then before I buy it

My King hardbacks.

I'm struggling to find the older ones. I know i have Carrie, wonder if it went walkabout when i suddenly ended up with a house to myself? Same goes for Gerald's Game and Insomnia.
