Most UK players are Region locked out of the box. If it's able to play discs from other regions, you usually have to enter a special code using the remote control.

And dont't worry, you're not being a pest.

Actually, if you're in the States, your biggest concern is going to be whether your dvd player will convert from PAL to NTSC format or whether your TV will accept a PAL signal.

hi shameless! your shameless tactics to inspire obsessive collecting of all your releases has worked a treat on me. i've picked up 10 in the last week, and plan on getting the rest as soon as possible. those seductive yellow boxes, the numbering on the spine, the need to see the whole shameless logo spelled out along the collective spines, this is all shamelessly genius product branding and i congratulate you. but even further than that, and your greatest achievement is the choice of films! i watched all the discs i bought one after another, and thoroughly enjoyed all of them, and i really appriciate your obvious respect for these films and commitment to delivering the best versions possible, admirable stuff all round. you've earned another life long fan in me, here's to a thriving future for the good ship shameless and all who sail in her!

That's really cool to hear how much you're enjoying collecting Shameless - the intention was always of course to persuade people to buy all of them but only on the basis that they would be charmed into doing so and enjoy the range - then it's exciting for all concerned.

I was like that after the first few review copies without packaging feeling I had to buy the proper things and then I was hooked! Like you, I hope that She must keep up the great work and eclectic mixture of titles.

oh for sure, if the films themselves were no good i wouldn't be interested...shameless have nothing to be ashamed of in this regard, that's why they can be shameless!
it's such quality marketing i'm really impressed, equally so with arrow, these two companies are bringing out editions that i'm happy to rush out and buy full price on release day, there's few dvd releases that can inspire that kind of reaction in me these days.
i bet there are people here who like me gaze lovingly at their shameless and arrow collections on their shelf, lol.
anyway i wanted to let you guys know that it's really doing the trick, and i'm being educated on all sorts of films that i'd never heard of and would never think to watch, you have established a quality and trusted brand of approval, if it says shameless on the box, you know it's worth a watch!

Like you, I have watched many movies because of Shameless and Arrow that I'd previously not heard of, let alone seen and, even though there is the occasional poor film (Ratman), they are still worth watching because they are so interesting and unintentionally amusing.

Arrow and Shameless are unique in my room as they are the only DVDs and DVDs that are still in their cases and on a shelf rather than being filed away in a DJ case or padded CD wallet.
