We need a new 'what films have you seen...' thread. The other one seems to be closed for business.

Oh, and I just ordered the R1 of Super (commentary and featurettes not on the R2) on the strength of a first watch just now . . .

Jusr recieved my shriek show burial ground....

utter crap.

I know the film is no artistic masterpiece or anything but I honestly find it to be great sleazy trashy fun. I'd heard lots of bad things from the critics, but then i've heard lots of bad things about arrow and blue underground half of which was gross exaggeration so I thought what the hell, less than a tenner on axel so why not.

It looks like a total scuzzy mess, about half way through I took the disc out, got my shriek show dvd off the shelf and put that in and noticed AN IMPROVEMENT. If shriek shows other releases are anything like this then i'm going to give them a wide birth. Question is do I amazon the disc or just bin it?!

Received a couple of Cult-Labs related goodies in the post today...

Island of Death (Arrow) - a competition win on here
Sledgehammer - from Wongfeihung62

The latter looks like the ultimate zero-budget 80s slasher - right up my street :)! Fair play to Intervision for bothering to put a nice selection of extras on this sort of a film

Hehe, well I don't really have high expectations of PQ quality with Shriek Show but are you sure the DVD is better than the BD?? I watched the BD the other day and thought it looked ok, comparable to ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST and BEYOND THE DARKNESS, I.E. not great but not a total disaster.

I'm not sure why that threat was closed - it's now open.

On your other point, I should really look into buying the US BD for those extra features.
