The original Evngelion series is still one of the worst shows I've ever seen.

And if anyone says its really good or that they enjoyed it, then the creator hates you.

He made the series to frustrate you, and wants you to hate it.

It was really good until the last 5 or 6 episodes, and I DID enjoy it :lol:

First 5-10 episodes = great potential. Everything after that point from the introduction of Asuka out? Some of the worst drivel i've ever seen. Do not get me started on EoE! Rebuild is proving to be a completely different best mind...

What about the use of religious imagery in the second half that has no bearing to plot what so ever? Admitedly, there is some that works. the core concept of the Angels and there imprisonmet by man in the form of the EVA's is sound, but what the hell has the bloody tree of life got to do with anything? It appeares everywhere!

I used to think so also, Eva will always hold a place in my heart as the first anime I ever watched. It doesn't hold up on repeat viewings however.

There are pretentious films and series that are almost to overrated, but are still smart. Then there is Evangelion. The try hard pretentious, which acts like its big and mysterious, but is just crap
