Very cheap and a good investment! I love Hell of the Living Dead and Nightmare City. Zombie 3 is also a nice film too.

This arrived today .......also watched A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE and EASTERN PROMISES at the weekend.

Cronenberg and Mortensen make a good team.
Just shows DC can churn out fantastic movies outwith the horror genre.

Where did you buy them from? I've had a at Amazon.ca for Eastern Promises and their conversion tool makes it £15.20, infuriatingly just above the customs threshold!

Wasn't too impressed with the PQ of Dracula Prince of Darkness BD. DNR a bit heavy + fine detail not great! Going to give it another watch now to confirm...

Just looking at the cover, it seems to be a distinctly Asian film, so it doesn't seem to break your current trend of purchases!

By no means is that a bad thing as, if you are in the mood to buy loads of a particular type of film, why not do whatever pleases?!

Baseball Fury 9th March 2012 09:38 AM

Ordered Return of The Living Dead steelbook (I wasn't that fussed until I found out about More Brains being included!) which now means I've got on pre-order -

Return Of The Living Dead
Demons
Demons II
House By The Cemetary
Lifeboat
Double Indemnity
Island of Lost Souls
The Lost Weekend
Sansho the Bailiff

and then the Lynch box when it goes up.

I'm going to be divorced before I'm even married at this rate.

That (and the steelbook) are the reason I went from no-buy, to definite pre-order.

This also arrived today.

The one's highlighted are those I have on pre-order. Was going to wait for price drops on Demons and HBTC but with them now being limited editions I might take the plunge soon. Also want to order Double Indemnity and The Lost Weekend too. Why are there so many good releases out at the minute?

Amazon Market Place. I vary rarely order BD overseas as I don't have a region free player, totally forgot I may get stuck with a charge.

I have exactly the same ones pre-ordered, if not more which I've forgotten about!

I don't know if the prices will drop a little prior to release, but that's why the pre-order price guarantees at retailers like Amazon and HMV come in handy. To be honest, I don't see the prices dropping before they go out of print, so pre-ordering is the only way to go.

There are a ridiculous number of great releases in the next few months but fortunately they are spread out and aren't all released in one fortnight spin!

I had Killer's Moon and Virgin Witch pre-ordered, but they were shipped a few days ago. Have yours also been dispatched by Planet Axel?

Yep - Very much looking forward to watching them for the first time in HD!

I haven't seen Virgin Witch, so HD will be perfect for the first time viewing. I really like Killer's Moon and, every time I watch it, I can't help but think how much better it would look in HD!

You're certainly in for a treat, I've had this since release date and watched it for the 10th time yesterday, it's a fantastic set and all the extras are really good, definitely on a par with the Media Blasters 25th anniversary R1 set from a few years back

Not yet. It was shipped on March 3rd, with an estimated delivery date of March 26th. You not even had a shipping email?
