Does anyone know the difference with the directors cut, also has anyone seen the sequels, if so what's the verdict?

Fopp seemingly have a bit of a special on. £5 for Ratman, the rest were £6 each. Formula for a murder was still £12 though

The US theatrical version was 90 mins, everywhere else, including the UK (heavily cut for violence/nudity), got this longer version.

Beastmaster, The (Comparison: Theatrical Version - Director's Cut) - Movie-Censorship.com
Sorry if i'm being thick here. But i've read the article. So the directors cut UK release is longer but still cut for violence and nudity?

Does that mean the US shorter version in uncut but missing twenty odd minutes of footage?

Not being thick at all. I didn't word it too well. The UK Director's Cut dvd is uncut (this version is on the US dvd too). The UK vhs and cinema release were the Director's Cut as well, but censored by the BBFC. The US cinema version was the shorter version as you desrcibed above. Hope that helps.

Im a bit confused as well Dem, but hey that's just me in general.

Anyway the uk release i've just got according to melon farmers is uncut, but looking into it and having a quick look at the disc it appears to be a bit of a naff transfer and seems to be widescreen but the framing looks wrong.
Aparently the Us Anchor bay disc is a good copy,in widescreen and has extras, i think that version is supposedly uncut as well.
Pants, i just fancied rewatching it and saw it cheap. I should have taken more time to look into it. Oh well its better than my old VHS and will do for now.
