As far as the Coen's go.

It's Fargo that stands head and shoulders above all else as far as i'm concerned.

Yep, I'd put Lebowski right behind it, then Miller's and Brother, outstanding body of work really.

Had no intention of buying this week, then walked into CEX... BR was £1, Silverado CE just 50p. Both near mint, BR had booklet, poster and catalog.

Their remake of The Ladykillers is the only one of the Coen brothers' films I don't like and don't own on either DVD or Blu-ray. I couldn't get away with Tom Hanks as the Professor and found jokes about IBS ill fitting in a film of that nature.

They are much better when writing original material (they are extremely clever and talented screenwriters) or, in the case of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, adapting epic poems!
