Ugh I remember they tried to make those cases happen at the dawn of DVD. They always broke at the hinge.

Jewel cases are even worse than eco-cases and one of the worst ideas in the history of home cinema because they are incredibly flimsy and cannot be fixed. Also, because they didn't last, it's nigh on impossible to buy a replacement when one does break.
