It's been a week of classics, a 2 disc classic for 99p (it has the same cover as the new premium BD so had a double take)

Took the opportunity to order a few gifts on Amazon utilising their today only BIGTHANKS code which entitles you to £10 off a £50 or more spend. Also picked up the below as a 'gift' for myself at the same time...

Is that the near silent movie filmed behind the scenes of Franco's El Conde Dracula?

It is indeed - part documentary, part film I've been fascinated to check it out since I learned of its existence.

The book Euro Gothic suggests it's actually better than Franco's film... which wouldn't be hard.

I quite like El Conde Dracula myself but it is rather stodgy.

Picked these up in Tesco earlier, have not seen any of them or read any reviews so essentially going into them blind with no expectations. Should get them watched tomorrow with a bit of luck.

What you’ve got there is one excellent film, one mediocre film and one film I turned off after about 35 minutes, I won’t say which is which
