Also took a punt on the Carrie limited edition.

It was on Amazon for £16 listed as "Condition: Used - Good - Case has minor shelf wear, Disc has minor marks".

I was a bit drunk and thought "sod it, you never know".

Turned up today, can't see any wear on the case and the disc plays fine.
All extras included and in good condition.:woot:
So really chuffed with this seeing as it's currently selling for about £36 squid.
Bargain.

And it could last me for years yet. And by then 8K may be the new flavour of the month.

I recently bought a new 4K television. For me, the deciding factor was that for exactly the same price as my ten year old 50 inch 1080p tv, I could now get a 65 inch set. The old plasma was still working fine but I badly wanted a bigger screen (it works out at roughly a third larger). It really has made a significant difference to movie viewing, especially when full widescreen ratio is used. Perhaps this is a placebo factor but I'm also pretty sure that my 1080p bds look slightly better when upscaled to a 4K screen. That's an unexpected bonus. btw Hopefully this new tv will last at least 10 years as well!
