Jacob's Ladder is a terrific film and one that improves with repeated viewings -- I don't know how it didn't make my Top 50 Horror Movies list.

Just ordered The Beyond and Vamp I was going wait until the sepia/black & white problem was sorted until I ordered The Beyond but Arrow's replacement procedure looks so straightfoward I thought I'd take a punt now and get stuck into the extras whilst I wait for the corrected disc!

Is this the 3-disc Metronome edition? If so the feature-length slasher film documentary is well worth a watch, as are the features on the history of the film and finally passing film uncut through the BBFC.

If not, well, the film's alright

Fair enough! I'm not that big a fan either (well, not the first half, I like the revenge part of it) but do like the extras on the disc and the story and controversy behind the film. Good commentary on it too. Still, can't complain about the AB release for 1p!

Really didn't want to be spending anymore money this week, but I ended up popping into HMV today with my cousin and picked up the BD steelbook of Resident Evil: Afterlife. Came straight home and went on ebay and also got...

Flaming Brothers HKL, starring Chow Yun-Fat and Alan Tang
The R1 Warner horror collection (Wolfen, Bodysnatchers, Coma and Bad Moon)
A Nightmare On Elm Street (original) BD.
