Just got the blu-ray version of 'The Day The Earth Stood Still' (1951) from a charity shop - £1:25

This annoying thing is... I have to keep the copy of the steelbox double DVD release I have...

... because the blu-ray doesn't carry over the feature length (80.43) documentary 'Making The Earth Stand Still'

Unpopular view i know but for me Guardians of the Galaxy is the start of the rot in the MCU.

I did watch Spiderman: No Way Home the other week and absolutely loved it.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is great fun and works really well with the other Spider-Man films. It's probably the best of the three Tom Holland-starring Spider-Man films, one I prefer to Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from Home, though I'd like all of them and the linked films from the MCU, such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

It's the original. Put the remake off after 20 minutes

French blu-ray of Dario Argento's The Card Player arrived. Extralucid of France have just released four new Argento blu-rays - it seemed much more likely that we would receive 4K UHDs of Sleepless and Stendhal so I just ordered this one bd (obviously I need english subtitles for Dark Glasses so that was a no go).

Since it's a new 4k scan of the camera negative, unsurprisingly it looks great (from what I've seen based on a sneak peek). I'm pleased to report that the French subtitles are optional and not forced. Only downside is that the english audio is 2.0 only and not 5.1. I can live with that, as long as it plays okay - I won't be buying Card Player again unless it receives a 4K UHD release.

Will watch on Monday with my wife.
