The 2019 release from Paramount Home Entertainment is the best. It has a 4K scan and more extra features than previous releases from Universal. I don't think it has a colourised version, but nobody should watch that.

Another Q.

Is it worth picking up Home Alone on Blu?

So many conflicting reports on it's visual quality on Amazon.

I'm going to buy that when it's in a 2 for £30 or is being sold by someone cheaply on eBay.

I've only had the Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Blu-ray release – I never owned it on DVD – and am very happy with the sound and picture quality.

That's good enough for me.

In all honesty the dvd isn't very good at all.

In that case, you should be fairly impressed by the detail, colour, and contrast in the picture, and the soundtrack's extra clarity and bass.
