i remember buying arkham city 6 years ago for £40. and now games are costing £50 - £60

Again this is because the technology in gaming has advanced. Improving the product you are buying.

It's the same with the resurgence in the vinyl market - often you're paying for the 'package' as a whole, the limited edition nature and the sleeve / disc art as much as the record itself. For the most part standard releases (whether from majors or boutique labels) are the same price (if not cheaper) now compared to when I first started buying years ago. |
