I dont think it was killed, i think its still breathing when the snake lets go. Lenzi even says it didn't die.

It looked like it died to me too. Personally I'd have replaced the muskrat with Lenzi.

After the way that snake crushed the life out of it I think it was as good as dead. I can't see it getting up and strolling away after that.

Appently the snake only done it half heartedly, it didn't want to do the scene.

I dont think the human violence in Ferox is as strong as people make it out to be.
