The remake can take a long walk off a short pier as far as I'm concerned as I have no tolerance for Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes. The original is a great horror movie and I'll definitely pick up that.

I'll watch the remake for Jackie Earl Haley. He was great in the TV show Human Target and the movies Watchmen, and Shutter Island. And I'll also watch it for Katie Cassidy

What's the deal with Arrow's SPIRITS OF THE DEAD coming on blu-ray? Is it going to be all Italian, the restored TOBY DAMMIT, or what...?

Not horror but sci-fi fans may like to get the October Bluray of Space 1999 series 1 .
It's from Network so will be the correct ratio rather than be cropped like ITV did with Thunderbirds

Found out some of the answers to my own questions re: SPIRITS OF THE DEAD. It is the full movie, instead of just TOBY DAMMIT and will include some form of the English track. Plus, some participation of a noted film critic/zine writer that is an expert on an Italian filmmaker.

Psycho is out on Monday with a pile of brand new extra features and what should be a stunning new monochrome transfer and HD 5.1 track. Mine was shipped yesterday and I can't wait until it arrives. The list of my favourite horror movies that haven't been released on Blu-ray keeps on shrinking!

I thought about it but then I figured that it really wasn't worth the extra expenditure as it was probably just end up in the loft with many of my other DVD and BD cases and the booklet will be one of those that I would read once and then put to one side. You?

Yeah, I'm a sucker for packaging so forked out the extra £4 for the steelbook...
