Wait for a sale and get the Soniq BD100 for JB. I got mine for about $56, works a charm.

I use it as a region A player, and region free DVD player.

My dilemma is that my only player is getting a bit old now - I bought it in 2009.
It has been fantastic, hasn't missed a beat so far, but load times are pretty slow and players seem to have a use by date, and firmware updates are a thing of the past for a unit that old. If I buy the Soniq, then my Pioneer crashes, I don't think I'll be happy with the Soniq as my only player. The only other option is to buy a modded mid-range player - Oppo etc. More $, but probably well spent?
Would be interested to know what other members have, and whether they're multiregion or not.
