I've never understood the love for Stagefright.

I much prefer The Church and Dellamorte Dellamore from Soavi's catalogue, and although it's the same year i always see it as a rip off of Argento's Opera which is far superior.

I can't disagree with you on those points, but I still like Stagefright a lot.

I prefer Stagefright to The Church and Dellamorte, although all three are great films.

As for Opera, I see this more as a giallo (with mysterious elements) compared to Stagefright, which is more of a straight up slasher film. Apart from both films having scenes within theatres (Stagefright more so) they bear little resemblance to each other, in my opinion.

As for the BU art, I've never been a fan of it either - floating heads in an aquarium just don't really do it for me. Luckily the forthcoming UK Blu utilises better poster art.

I love Stagefright the most of the 3.

I have little love for Dellamorte.

Although I agree The Church is excellent although the presence of that clown from Holby City spoils it mildly.

Now there's a conversation. Where do Gialli stop and slashers begin?

In quite a few Gialli the lines between the two are very blurred.

Probably best discussed in another thread though.
