I've put my pre-order in; it's my fav Argento and I just can't resist.

Their press release says they "currently" have no plans for a standard edition. They worded it differently with Demons, but we all know a 1disc edition will see the light of day before long.

It could be limited to ten copies but uk buyers on a budget already have Tenebrae with an excellent transfer. Phenomena and Suspiria are more essential as they can stand to be improved upon.

I guess Yellow Fever isn't available on any 88 Films release?

It isn't. Maybe it'll show up on a release from them, or someone else in the future. Thinking maybe no-one else can get's their hands on it until the Synapse disc is released

Indeed, the Wildside/Arrow transfer is good, but Don has the eyes of a hawk when it comes to transfers, and saw things that he wasn't happy with, fractions of a second things. I did buy the Demons steelbooks, as they were a noticeable improvement over the Arrow versions, but I'm more than happy with the Arrow Tenebrae. I'll pick it up later if Synapse do eventually release a standard version though.

It's been mentioned a few times (mainly in response to people moaning at Arrow & Eureka's RRP and suggesting they ditch the DVD to save on costs and lower the price) but adding a DVD to the package is extremely neglible in terms of cost - therefore, I guess BU have included it for this reason but probably also to provide the 'full package'. It could also be that they will no longer be pressing Venom as a stand-alone DVD and the combo pack will be the only way to go if you want to own the film in future, thus also cutting down on costs producing separate DVD & BD units.

True. I'll have to get that dvd sharpish. I remember the film from tv when i was a kid. Not an awfully good memory i must admit, just a snake between the walls.
