Course it isn't, Lenzi hasn't directed a single decent film! I do like Ferox though for some reason

I think Lenzi's made some great films but Cannibal Ferox certainly isn't one of them.

Over the last couple of days I have worked my way through the Brosnan Bond's (generally speaking they have aged badly) and just finished watching Amsterdammed which was fun.

Such a funny episode just classic. Den fighting with the waitress about the price of a sausage is priceless and when he notices that its sausages not just a sausage cracks me up every time i see it.

I'll always have a soft spot for Cannibal Ferox, mainly because it was the one nasty that really delivered back in the early 80s. I still remember being blown away by the final slaughter, just one atrocity piled on top of another. The music is absolutely fantastic. Gratuiitous nudity, funny dialogue and to bring us up to date the best dvd commentary bar none. For me this is everything a grindhouse movie should be.

Yeah, Ferox is punk rock. Deodata at least tried to inject some commentary into his film but Lenzi was definitely in the hurt business...

It's the crummy "violence begets violence" nonsense which annoys me. It feels so bolted on.

My thoughts exactly. As regards Cannibal Ferox, it's very nasty and not a patch on Cannibal Holocaust, but I watch it when I'm in the mood!
