Watched Wilderness last night, great British survival horror film similar to Dog Soldiers just without the werewolves and featuring the always excellent Sean Pertwee, Toby Kebbell(Dead Man's Shoes) and a very lovely looking Alex Reid. Highly recommended

Watched
The Magic Christian last night. along with Candy this is 60s mainstream cinema at it's looniest, though neither reach the heights of 2001 imo. If you're a beatless or Sellers fan, or if, like me, you enjoy seeing familiar british actors doing odd things then i recommend this one. If not, go and watch Love Thy Neighbour.

Nightmare Concert AAAh, it's that time again, since my mate in Glesca STILL has my Touch Of Death (3 and a half years and counting!!!) dug this out, the lovely print belies the sheer unpleasantness of this rather pomo, cough cough, take on Sullivan's Travels for gore fans IMO.

I've watched a very mixed bunch this past week or so, namely Shaolin Soccer, Romeo Must Die, The Empire Strikes Back, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 (remake), TMNT (CG), The Lion King and Inland Empire.

Strange week.

JENIFER and THE CARD PLAYER
i prefer PELTS to JENIFER in the Masters of Horror series, but its still a good film....sexually obsessed with a freak!
as regards to TCP well as its been said before not one of his best, more of a thriller with off screen violence which Argento intended
but my girlfriend liked the film, more so than JENIFER

Although I'm pretty much spent up for the month, that does sound like something worth a blind buy. However, Lovefilm send me a card offering three months for the price of one, which may help to curb my spending!

I watched it on Netflix during my free months trial, but I think its fairly cheap on Amazon

The Card Player is a mediocre Horror Thriller, but the last twenty minutes totally ruin the whole film.
I'd say this is easily Argento's worst film, together with Phantom of the Opera.

Greetings!

I think Card Player is way better than Phantom (and Mother of Tears too).
