A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE.

A sparse and very bleak serial killer movie that dosent pull any punches. I suspect some may find the film a little 'arty' and somewhat alienating with some of its non-linear editing and moody soundtrack but I loved it. Looks great on blu-ray.

DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW.

Re-watched this classic TV movie on Blu-ray. It looks phenomenal and is as good as it ever was. I look forward to further blue-ray releases from VCI on the basis of this release.

DEEP RED.

The blue underground release turned up and I stuck it on to see the much vaunted superiority over the arrow release, honestly I didn't see much improvement. It looks a little sharper but some bits look way too bright and there is still the fine layer of noise over everything. Fortunately the blu didn't cost me much and it fits in to my growing blue-underground collection so no loss. Personally though if I had to pick one release i'd go for the arrow one.

Just watched Intruder, liked it quite a bit but homehow it didnt really work for me. I think the scenes where the killer is watching his victims are the best ones. The gore was pretty good aswell but I thought it would be a better horror movie alover. The acting was decent though.

A beautiful day in Scotland, but I sat in shamefully having a 'dolies blackout'. Don't worry moral guardians of the forum - no porn was diddled over, rather I saw Frankenhooker. My first viewing - I laughed loudly and harrumphed quite a few times, frightening my dog who was lying beside the couch minding his own business.

Does anyone know who this guy is, everytime I watch a film I like to check out the trivia and what not on IMDb and this guy seems to always write the plot summary, check out how many films he's done!

HAPPY HELL NIGHT.

Generic as hell 1991 slasher movie with plenty of gore, nudity and the awsome Darren mcgavin. A very enjoyable slice of hokum and well worth it for less than a fiver with postage off amazon.
