"Scream Bloody Murder" has a similar ending and was made in 1972.

How can anyone hate Maniac. Two words = Joe Spinell!

Has anyone here seen Switchblade Romance? I heard the name mentioned before but it never really got my interest until I watched a clip from it the other day. It looks brutal. Was wondering if it was worth picking up?

Watched THE CANDY SNATCHERS (Subversive) which was not as sleazy as I thought it would be.The BBFC would still cut the rape, though the film itself was originally rejected outright.

Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman

An interesting story is somehow lost in a film that seems to drag it out over 90 mins. The Slit-Mouthed Woman figure herself should have been utilised better, but she somehow comes across as pretty dull. There's a real jump out of your seat scary story in here somewhere, but this isn't it. Disappointing.

Embodiment Of Evil

Ah, now this is more like it. Great to see Coffin Joe updated to 2009, in a tale full of gorgeous visuals and over the top gore. I can see why one or two scenes would have raised a few eyebrows at the BBFC, but it's great to see it fully uncut, as it should be. Nice 'making of' documentary on the UK disc, too. Recommended.

It's a pretty good film KPW. Very well made and the violence IS quite brutal. Although I'm not sure if I like the ending, but I won't spoil it for you Check it out if you enjoy the recent French horrors (btw it is NO WHERE NEAR as brutal as Martyrs or Inside)

£2 Loops! That's a bargain! Check it out when you can mate, it's good

SWITCHBLADE ROMANCE is brilliant!
I know there are some horror film fans out there that didn't get the ending, but it makes sense on every level.
An excellent French horror.
FRONTIERS, INSIDE are very good as well especially, the latter, with MARTYRS, it's a good film but I thought the ending was a bit arty with rich people wanting to know about the after life or something...I would of rather
a twist ending or something else.
Nice and violent though!
