I've yet to check out Hooper's Invaders from Mars, but your review certainly has piqued my curiosity.
I was lucky to see it on my wishlist as part of a MGM Midnight Movies four pack which had dropped to a fiver, a few months back.

Ditto. I haven't seen it either, but will add it to my Lovefilm rental list.

Sadly, it isn't available at the moment, nor is it on Netflix. I thought the 1953 film was solid, but not a classic, so will be interested to see what Tobe Hooper's take on the story.

It used to be on Netflix, I watched it on there a couple of years ago

There is a US blu already, as well as the MM four pack which is going for a tenner new on Amazon. Someone is also selling it as MM double bill with Strange Invaders for 19p in 'good' condition.

I must have confused 101 with Final Cut... at least this means I'll be able to bung it on the rental list eventually.

Same here – it will be a 'try before you buy'.

You young 'uns with your try before you buy.

Back in the day we never had that. It was either pay your £75 for Love Camp 7 or not at all.
