I thought the pair of them were shite, and only watched out of curiosity, but I'll no doubt watch the 3rd one (and think it's just as shite)

Thanks for the replies chaps. Not sure whether to give them a go or not. They sound like curios more than anything.

That is what the second really is. The first is a "shocking" horror film for civillians imho.

What's this Italian Hellraiser Blu-ray trilogy like? Uncut? Acceptable quality?

Let me rephrase this: are the Hellraiser sequels worth watching?

I like them all (including the Doug Bradleyless Revelations), but they do get worse after part 3

As for that Italian set, I've no idea of the quality myself

The sequels are a bit of a mixed bag, and generally speaking (as with most franchises) they get worse as you go on.

Part II (Hellbound) is arguably as good as the original though, and is actually my favourite horror sequel (along with Demons 2: so take from that what you will...). Part III is silly, but pretty entertaining and IV is a little haphazard thanks to studio/production interference but has some positive points to offer. I really like Part V (Inferno) even though Pinhead is relegated to the supporting cast. From Part VI onwards the films go downhill pretty rapidly... however that said, I'd take a Hellraiser sequel over the majority of DTV horror dreck made nowadays.
