If it's one or the other then I'm with Dem on this one Justin. The content for that price is outstanding. That said I wouldn't mind seeing them in the cinema provided the place wasn't full of nobs.

I think you'd be safe if it was a showing of BBC Ghost Stories.
Anyway I'm decided that come Friday I'll order the DVDs and watch them at home with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie

No probably true. You wouldn't really expect a bunch of teeny bopper twats to go watch them. One of my best Cinema experiences ever was seeing Nosferatu on Halloween in a tiny little cinema in Bath. Whole place was full of like minded people.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the Ghost Stories set , particularly The Ash Tree. I haven't finished the set myself.

I would try and do both. However, if it is one or the other, I would buy the set and watch them at home.

Actually you do, because they are in fact showing an extended version of the introduction before the film
