"I feel obliged to make sure our ambitions are as ambitious as they were when we started," the actor said in a separate interview about the upcoming installment in the action-adventure franchise.

Another installment to the Indiana Jones franchise is on its way, with Harrison Ford revealing that production will commence within months.

Ford dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for an interview that will air Friday to promote his new film, Call of the Wild, and while there, he gave a few hints about the upcoming Indiana Jones film.

By the time filming begins, Ford will be 78, a decade older than Sean Connery was when he played Henry Jones, Sr in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade!

Some thought from ET Canada:

He might be 78 but looks in great shape for his age.

If they have Indy as an older person then i'm definitely up for a fifth film.

I really hope they don't CGI him younger or any crap like that.

It would probably be for the best if there is a father-son or mentor-student relationship between the older Indiana Jones, who is aware of his age, and another, more active and physical adventurer, in the same way as Indy and his father bounced off each other in The Last Crusade.

I don't want him doing every step physical feats which rely entirely on CGI and stuntmen, stretching the 'willing suspension of disbelief' to breaking point.

Do we really want the return of Shia though?

Maybe Spielberg could take his cue from Logan?

As long as the story and film is entertaining and well made with a believable Indiana Jones character, I don't really mind who is in it or what it's about.

I refer the honorable gentlemen to a post I made in this very thread, back in March 2016:

The bad guys appear, and do a sweep with their guns, peppering everything in sight (including the fridge and cardboard box) with bullets. They then move off

The metal fridge collapses, due to the damage inflicted upon it

Indy climbs out of the shredded cardboard box unscathed. He looks at the fridge, now reduced to a twisted pile of steel, turns to the camera and gives the audience a knowing look!

Classic scene. The audience would be rolling in the aisles with laughter, and another timeless moment, similar to the 'swordsman/gun' scene in the original 'Raiders' would have been created
