Dr Moreau's House of Pain A boxer and his friends are investigating the disappearance of his brother and it leads to them following a stripper after she smashes her fist through a gangsters head. It leads to them being kidnapped by a manimal. Now they have to escape. Em......? I ain't got a damn scooby what I just watched, some boobs; alright make up (for a Charles Band movie). **** it, it was only 50p, so it's fine. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaAtvjev_So Not the greatest King adaptation but I've always enjoyed it and it's better than a lot of Kings stuff turned to films. A group of young teenage boys rescue a retarded boy from bullying, it soon become apparent that the boy has special abilities and they are all linked from the moment they meet him and the group also develop powers , which comes in handy years later when trying to stop an alien invasion, the aliens are creepy looking but let down by aged CGI. 7/10 Now watching Stephen King's Sleepwalkers. |
Have decided to start early with .... Dracula AD 72 (Allan Gibson) .... immediately regretting it as well:rolleyes:. To say this is .... a Hammer film is shuddersome in extremis. But that's what it is ... having swapped it's frockcoat and cobwebs for loon pants and yer actual fuzz hinvestigatin' fings  Lawdy. PC commands every scene he's in. Unsurprisingly. Lee does the little they give him (what's this called again??) It's Neame that's at fault imo. SHOUTING doth not convey emotion young man. Revisiting old things can be revelatory. Sometimes ... NEXT! |
For this year's marathon going to trying to keep away from the "usual supects" and watch films I've not seen in sometime or not at all. |
1 Attachment(s) When the lights went out 2012. A family move to a new house in Yorkshire in the 70s and are haunted by a malevolent poltergeist. Based on the real Haunting from the 60s called The Pontefract Haunting or The Black Monk Haunting, first seeing this a few years back when it came out I thought it be a Amityville copy but was decent movie. Some people who remembered the 70s would feel the authenticity of the setting with the wallpaper, carpets and coal lorries. The acting is top notch from Tasha Connor who plays Sally, the pre teen who gets the brunt of the malevolent force. This is one to watch in the dark. 8 out of 10. |
Good luck with that then t! ;) |
